Nenthead is one of Englands highest towns in the County of Cumbria and was one of the first, industry lead, purpose-built villages to be constructed for the Lead mining industry during the mid 18th Century. The valley illustrated below stretches South East, away from the town of Nenthead, along the course of the river Nent. This remote valley is still dotted with remains from the Lead and Zinc mining industry of which Nenthead was one of the biggest producers in the North Pennines region.

The project was to construct a digital model illustrating the valley in its industrial heyday at around 1800.
Created for information boards at the visitors centre, these will act as a reference to all the various ruins and points of interest accessible along the valley.
