Berisbury Camp

Berisbury is the site of a former Iron Age Hillfort in Hampshire. The settlement was occupied from between the eighth and fifth century BC. In the background you can see Fosbury Camp Hillfort occupied during the same period.

During the Roman occupation, in the first century AD, a road was built straight through the middle of the settlement which now exists as Hungerford Lane.
